Braza, the phenomenally successful chain of Moçambique-styled restaurants, is opening at Emperors Palace, the hotel, casino and convention resort that is conveniently situated alongside OR Tambo International Airport.

The new Braza restaurant opens on Wednesday 2 December, coinciding with the redesign of the sumptuous menu, which will be officially launched at all Braza restaurants early in December.

The new Braza restaurant is the latest proof of the continual growth enjoyed by the chain throughout 2009. At Emperors Palace, on Wednesday 2 December, Braza will participate in an Emporium Food Adventure designed to showcase the Emperor’s Palace dining experience to media representatives and selected VIP guests. Braza will be the star of the Emporium Food Adventure, hosting the main meal of the evening.

The concept on which Braza is based is the adventurous nature of the customs, cultures, tastes and flavours that were discovered by Portuguese explorers. Braza’s personification of Portuguese exploration is Manuel, and his bold journeys are made in search of new flavours, which he brings home for all to enjoy.

Manuel is one of the secrets that makes Braza the most exciting restaurants this country has seen in many a long year. Another is the giant Moçambique flame grill that features at the centre of every Braza restaurant.

Behind the delightful dining experience are restaurateurs George and Fats Lazarides with George Nichas and Pedro De Sambento. They are the same geniuses who developed the runaway success that is the Ocean Basket franchise chain.
