About This Dish

This Proudly South African recipe leaves you a lot of leeway for creativity, so make it according to your personal taste.Feel free to add or remove ingredients as you experiment!

What You'll Need

  • 3 tins Italian Chopped tomatoes
  • 5 Carrots (grated)
  • 2 Large Onions
  • Fresh or dried chilli (to taste)
  • 1/2 Cabbage (grated)
  • 1 can Baked Beans
  • 1 Cauliflower (diced)

How To Make It

Fry onion on low heat till translucent then add chopped tomatoes

Simmer for 10 mins then whiz with stick/hand blender to make a gravy like consistency.

Add the grated carrot, chillies, garlic, grated cabbage, baked beans and/or cauliflower

You can add as much or as little of each of these ingredient's as you like. (e.g. I like lots of grated carrots and only a little cabbage)

Cook on low till all is soft. Cool and bottle.
