About This Dish
A Traditional Seafood dish from my Algarve.
What You'll Need
- 800gr of Tuna Steaks
- 2 Onions
- 2 Soup spoons of Butter
- 60ml Olive Oil
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- Parsley
- 1kg Frozen Chips
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 5 Soup spoons Dry White Wine
- Half Fresh Lemon
- White Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
How To Make It
Marinate the Tuna Steaks with salt, white pepper, one garlic clove sliced in sleeves and the wine. Peel onion and slice in rings.
In a metal frying pan add butter, melt over low heat. When melted add olive oil and allow to warm up. Crush the other garlic clove with a knife and add to the pan with onion rings and bay leave. Allow one minute to flavor the olive oil.
Add Tuna Steaks and cook well, both sides. In plate place Tuna Steaks, cover with onion gravy from the pan, sprinkle with chopped parsley. Garnish with lemon. Serve hot with fried chips.
Enjoy with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
